Late Vocations

"Too late, have I loved Thee, O Beauty so ancient and so new,too late have I loved Thee! Thou wast with me, and I was not with Thee; I was abroad, running after those beauties which Thou hast made...Thou hast called, Thou hast cried out, and hast pierced my deafness. Thou hast enlightened, Thou hast shone forth, and my blindness is dispelled. I have tasted Thee, and am hungry of Thee. Thou hast touched me, and I am afire with the desire of thy embraces." --St. Augustine, Confessions I,xxvii

Late Vocations Wanted!

Do you have a late vocation story? Know someone who does? Have some information on late vocations? Then please share it here in any of the comment boxes.

Welcome to Late Vocations!

This blog is inspired by my own attempt to discover God's calling for my life. As you might guess by the quote from St. Augustine, I began hearing this call at a time most people regard as "late". Yet "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever." (Hebrews 13:8)

So if you're Catholic (or even if you're not!) and you think that "sometimes you can hear the Spirit whispering to you" but you think or have been told that you have a "late vocation". I hope this blog will be a place to share your story and find some help on your journey.
